Know Your Rights, Realities, and Responsibilities!
May 15th 2018 -We had a powerful Know Your Rights, Realities, and Responsibilities training yesterday
Over 70 people, including representatives from 6 workplaces and faith institutions, joined for a participatory art project on defining safety, and an interactive workshop, simultaneously interpreted in 4 languages, that focused on encounters with ICE and the police at home, and with ICE raids in the workplace.
We even simulated role plays with a mobile door!
2 of the businesses have already requested trainings in their workplaces, and committed to doing the outreach to other workplaces!
