DRUM Featured on The Muslim Giving Project Fund!
The Muslim Giving Project Fund is a new venture, launched as a volunteer effort out of Stanford University’s d.school, that aims to foster a more dynamic American Muslim giving culture. The Fund is a fiscally sponsored initiative at the Community Initiatives Fund of the California Community Foundation.
The MGP Fund provides American Muslims with the tools, resources and platform to make secure charitable donations to professionally reviewed projects. MGP Fund is a new model in philanthropic space, developed as a hybrid that combines the best of the traditional foundation model with the best of crowd-sourcing platforms.
• Showcases three new projects each month that donors can choose from! Each organization and its project is vetted by a team of foundation professionals.
• Provides tools to help you track and manage your donations.
• Connects you to a growing community of American Muslims who believe in building effective projects and sustainable organizations.
Desis Rising Up & Moving (DRUM), is one of the first three organizations and projects featured on the site! Our project, Keep Families Together, provides free DACA (Deferred Action Childhood Arrivals) legal services to undocumented immigrant youth as well as trains them to become active community leaders for DRUM’s Just Immigration Reform Campaign.
Please visit the site and help us reach our project goal! We have 30 days to raise the amount we need. CCF and MGPF will not be taking any additional costs or overhead from your donation, other than the 3% standard credit card company fee. Therefore, all of the money raised will go directly towards our project.
